Singer Songwriters

In 2008 Evolve held 2 singer songwriter performance evenings.

A group of young people worked together with a volunteer to build a stage for the performances and someone kindly donated a piano to the service.

These events provided an opportunity for young musicians to have a go at performing in front of a friendly audience. For some of them it was their first time on stage and many of them were performing their own original compositions.

A group of young people also ran the cafe and served coffee and nibbles to our guests.

The project concluded in July with a selected group of our singer songwriters being offered the opportunity to perform at Wellington Town Hall during the Involve '08 Relate conference.
