Counsellors

Evolve offers a counselling service for young people, providing up to 6 free sessions.  Our counsellors work at Evolve part time and each brings their own unique expertise and approach.
To get a referral to counselling you will need to see a nurse at Evolve, who will help you to choose the right counsellor for your needs.

We currently have 3 counsellors on the team:

I was born in Taihape (Central North Island) and come from a big family of 7 kids!  Mum is a New Zealander and Dad was born in England, but came to NZ when he was 2 years old.

I’ve worked as a counsellor for the past 20 years and lot of my experience is in relationship and sexuality counselling. At the moment I’m available for counselling at Evolve on Thursdays.

I spend a lot of my spare time mountain biking, tending my vegetable garden, sometimes painting, and tramping.  I like going to movies, theatre, galleries and hanging out with friends.

The thing I love about Evolve is the interesting mix of people that work here and the energy of the place.
